The Job / Responsibilities :

We aim to become the investment house of reference in Belgium, that is why we will focus on the growth of our investment solutions and investor client base. With a clear focus on acquiring new investors and attracting fresh money from our existing clients. We want to differentiate ourselves in the market and grow our investor basis substantially.

To realize this ambition, we are looking for a Lead Investment Experts who will lead our investment expert team. You ensure all investment experts obtain their commercial objectives and you ensure we attract new investment clients. You will design and implement a new acquisition strategy and will draw the plans for a centralized servicing team to serve our affluent clients optimally through efficient and standardized processes.

The team:

You lead our team of investment experts together with 2 team leads responsible for our investment expert teams across 3 locations (Louvain-la-Neuve, Brussels and Ghent). You report to the Product Area Lead Investing & Growing. Your teams are focused on growth, realizing strong commercial results and provide excellent investment advice. You and your teams work in a hybrid way with dedicated office days.

Key responsibilities:

• Commercial Steering:
o Support of investment experts in their commercial organisation, planning, lead treatment and commercial pitch to clients
o Follow-up on objectives and provide commercial instructions
o Usage of tools by investment experts
o Use reporting to follow-up on objectives and coach investment experts
• Acquisition: design and implement a dedicated team with strong prospecting and sales skills to unlock the investing potential of existing ING clients through data driven lead management
• Servicing: design and implement a dedicated team to service our affluent clients through central and efficient processes
• Synergies: grow synergies across segments (Business Banking, Personal Banking, Private Banking) to unlock potential for commercial growth within ING
• Long-term Strategy: Deliver proposals and solutions to the Management Team (MT) for investment sales growth strategies.

Key Objectives:

• Increase investment product uptake and the number of investors.
• Ensure a disciplined and focused approach across all commercial activities.
• Establish ING as the preferred investment partner.
• Enhance efficiency and work effectiveness for bankers through clear support and strategic direction.

Your profile :

Qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience, preferably within investment services.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in sales strategy and communication planning.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-segment and lead multiple teams toward shared business goals.
• Exceptional data analysis and interpretation skills to drive commercial outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills, both for internal leadership and external client engagement.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
